These very young students enjoy their first steps into the world of English through singing and dancing to songs, listening and repeating flashcards, and doing other age appropriate language based activities.  They also enjoying listening and following along with storybooks read aloud to them by the teacher.

Young students enjoy learning English through singing, flashcard activities, imaginative activities such as shopping or going to a restaurant and playing all kinds of games and listening to storybooks.  Students are able to ask and answer simple questions such as names, age and weather etc.

Students continue building their vocabulary using a picture dictionary accompanied by chants and songs.  At this stage they begin to use a textbook. They are confortable asking and answering basic introduction questions. They can respond to the teacher quickly and naturally and they use English in full sentences.

Students here continue to expand their vocabulary using course textbooks and a picture dictionary. They learn to ask and answer more general introduction questions. General English Classes taught by Japanese English teachers begin at this level. Here they learn basic phonics, reading and writing skills.

Students at this level generally feel more comfortable listening and speaking English so classes are more focused on constructing longer, more complicated sentences.  In General English Class, they begin focusing on the basic elements of grammar as well as continuing to develop their reading and writing skills.

The lessons are more focused on using the English they already know.  Students learn English through pattern practice, role-playing, and discussing their daily lives. In General English Class, they learn basic grammar. One goal of this level is to pass the semi 2nd grade of the STEP test.

Students continue to develop their English by participating in class discussions, debating school matters, cultural aspects, and current events. In General English Class we help students to refine their usage of  English Grammar. One goal of this level is to pass the 2nd grade of the STEP test.
